I am currently working alongside the BFBA to implement a long term marketing and PR plan to -
Raise the profile of the BFBA both within the farriery and equine industry
Promote the UK's largest farriery event, Farrier Focus, in addition to other events
Facilitate and increase an awareness of the BFBA and the key roles that it plays
Improving the BFBA online presence through website maintenance and social media platforms
Provide prompt advice and support as matters arise

I am currently supporting Stromsholm with marketing and PR projects including writing technical articles, event reports, coordinating the Kings Plate Competition and Apprentice Shoemaking League, liaising with stakeholders and acting as a conduit for new opportunities.

Derek Gardner Farrier Products manufacture an impressive range of world renowned farriery tools.
A brand new e-commerce site, created on Shopify, was launched and Forge PR & Marketing continue to be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the site and Facebook page in addition to providing PR and marketing support as and when required.
Cumbria Sporting Gun

Cumbria Sporting Gun, located in Penrith, sell shooting supplies and countrywear for "the discerning enthusiast".
The e-commerce website, hosted on Shopify, was relaunched with a bespoke design to provide a seamless shopping experience which is easy to navigate and employs all of the usual website conventions.
Forge PR & Marketing continues to provide ongoing marketing support and is responsible for the day to day management of both the website and Facebook group.

Equine Health "the only health resource for the equine industry" is a magazine aimed at the professional.
I have worked with Editor, Chris Keate, for a number of years for different clients placing both editorial and product news and have been commissioned directly to write technical articles on the farriery industry.
Imprint Equine Foot Care
"Imprint® is the patented equine foot care system for treating a wide range of painful and debilitating hoof conditions including laminitis and limb deformities in foals".
I was approached by Imprint to write and circulate a press release on their behalf following the publication of a significantly positive independent study utilising their product. The research undertaken at the Utrecht University Department of Equine Sciences used the Imprint First frog-supportive mouldable glue-on horseshoe.
Following conversations with Editors a publication-tailored press release was written which was then circulated. Press coverage was gained both in print and online at local, national and international level. Publications include (bot not limited to) Hereford Equestrian, Chiltern & Thames Rider, Vet Record, Equine Health, Equestrian Trade News and Horsetalk (NZ).
Marketing & Advertising Sales

Forge Magazine is the official publication of the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association (BFBA).
I was responsible for managing the re-launch of the magazine in May 2017 which included a brand new look and fresh content. I continued to handle the advertising sales throughout the year before handing the reins over to BFBA Membership Secretary, Holly Flack.
The online magazine is published within the BFBA area of Forge & Farrier for which I am also responsible.
Marketing & PR
Swan Products are a prominent manufacturer of gas forges for farriers but their range also includes some farriery tools and equine products.
I was approached by Swan’s to launch a short term campaign highlighting and raising the profile of their ‘Pocket Farrier’ to the equine market – an area they had not previously explored. An audience specific press release and the careful considered placement of technical articles led to improved awareness and an increase in sales.

The Farriers Foundation is a charity whose aim is to raise funds to assist farriers or their dependants who find themselves in need of assistance.
This responsive website was written to be engaging, informative and rank appropriately within the search engine results pages.
2014 European Farrier Championships and Convention

'EFCC2014' was the largest farriery event the UK has ever hosted, it featured the highly competitve European Championships and a full educational programme including lectures and hands-on clinics plus a commercial marketplace.
As an integral member of a team of four I was responsible for establishing and hosting the online presence, arranging sponsorship of the event, advertising, the sale of commercial exhibition space, production of the event programme and the coordination and promotion of tickets sales.
Handmade Shoes (UK) Ltd

Handmade Shoes is a leading farrier supply company with a tremendous range of poducts.
I assisted in the beginning of their e-commerce campaign, launched the original Kevin Bacon’s Equine Care Products website and was responsible for marketing and PR of the Kevin Bacon’s range.
Handmade also organise a biannual educational clinic and a biennial shoemaking competition for which I was responsible for the photography and post event reports for seven years.
